I am a midwestern girl with midwestern values, raised in Columbus, Ohio. Decades later I boldly made a job transfer to Chicago where I met and currently reside with my fiancé. My earliest memories are of being a cheerleader/gymnast where a significant amount of dedication and hard work was required…both of which have never deterred me… and quite frankly, I enjoy a good challenge. As an individual in the sports arena and as a team member, I gained skills that have helped me in many facets of life over the years.

Fast-forward, I became a young mother, divorcee then single mom which was obviously quite challenging. Shortly thereafter, I became a semi-professional cheerleader (with my then three-year-old daughter cheering right beside me). As my daughter entered her early teens & started cheering herself, I accepted a cheerleading coach position, all while being the right-hand to several successful lawyers and judges over my 40+ year career. Most importantly, I have realized that my life has come full circle returning to what I was born to do, & that is coaching & cheering people on with encouragement.

My journey has had several bumps, curves, roadblocks, detours, and some full-on construction (which I call growth and evolving), all while maintaining a positive mindset that the right path was just around the corner. I believe that a smoothly paved road (without some bumps) is a road to nowhere in particular that often leads to a dead end. I have always felt that a positive attitude is the pathway to wonderful things, and this approach has not let me down to this day. I truly believe that life is all about balance and that it is possible to achieve. A personal example…I am a woman who has always been physically active, but I am also a foodie, which is a very fine line to walk without giving up what I enjoy. What I have discovered is that small changes can yield significant results (without deprivation).
